IIRC, some PS2 games are small enough that they come on a CD instead of a DVD. This is not to be confused with ISO+mp3 for CDs. The other problem is your TV, if it can handle the difference between NTSC and PAL.

You want to use Clone CD and make a CCD image of PS1 games.ĭVDs like PS2, you'll make an ISO image of them. It can, but not on it's own, as you'll need either ESR and have to create a patched disc, or OPL and have the discs ripped to USB/Internal HDD. From what I've read, there's the possibility that some games wont work if you rip them to BIN/CUE.
Requirements: Original retail PS2 Game disc Blank discs - Use good quality Apache v1.1 DVD Decrypter / IMGBurn PC. My suggestion is to try games older then 2001, some newer games have a disc check and will fail to load the backups edited ELF file. PS1, while you can make a BIN/CUE, it isn't the best choice. If you dont have any PS2 games in the list (below), then try the ones you have or a PS2 Demo disc. Insert the original game in the PS2 power it on let it load past the intro and all the various splash screens and into the game menu now swap the original game with your hacked copy. There are equals like a Nero or Alcohol image, but since BIN/CUE is more widely supported it's the better choice. In DVD decrypter insert a blank dvd, select mode, iso, write, select your modded iso and then click burn. Saturn and Sega CD, make a BIN/CUE image of those discs. The trick is picking the best choice image format to use.

I've been meaning to put it in an external enclosure so it can be loaned out to any one that wants to backup some games, but since you can back up Wii games easily using a Wii, it hasn't been high on my to-do list.ĭreamcast games just aren't worth the trouble, so much easier to just download the image. I got one last year or the year before for like $20 I think. As far as I know, they're not sold new at retail anymore, but you can get the new on eBay. I forget what make and models are able to read those discs, but they're actually not hard to obtain. GCN/Wii is actually pretty easy if you have the right model optical drive. Yeah, I can't think of any others off the top of my head.
